What We Do

The Canadian Friends Historical Association works to preserve and communicate the on-going history and faith of Friends in Canada and their contribution to the Canadian Experience. See our major activities:

Publications

We publish an open-access academic journal, a newsletter, and occasional monographs.

Digital Archive

We preserve, enhance, and make available documents relating to Canadian Quaker history, including transcriptions of handwritten meeting books going back to 1798.

Built Heritage

We're working on a record of every Quaker property, including meeting houses, burial grounds, and homes of notable Friends.

Research Support

We provide research funding and scholarships to those interested in delving into aspects of Quaker history.

Community

Our members share their research pursuits and interests in a variety of channels.
