Research Inquiry – Doan and Wade Families

We recently received a genealogy question in regard to the ancestry of Jemima Camp Wade (1812-1895). In 1832, Jemima Wade married Solomon Doan, an active member of the Black Creek PM and Pelham MM. One of their children is listed in the Pelham Register as born in Crowland. We’re hoping some information can be found regarding Jemima Camp Wade’s parentage, in particular linking her to Wells Wade (1780-1858) and Abigail ‘Abby’ Wade (1782-1858). Do you have any information about Jemima Camp Wade and her family?

CFHA Student Essay Award and Scholarship Program

Current Situation of the Canadian Quaker Archives and Library

The Canadian Quaker Archives and Library is managed by the Archives Committee (formerly Records Committee) of Canadian Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. The Committee operates under Canadian Yearly Meeting Organization and Procedures 6.17 (O&P). In October 2019, the Canadian Quaker Archives and Library had to temporarily suspended operations.
